Why am I not getting notification e-mails from the server when it
throws an error?
Answer:
- There is no valid e-mail address in the "SupportEmail" registry
setting in the SiteWatch™ server application.
- There is no valid e-mail address in the "AlertFromEmailAddress"
registry setting in the SiteWatch™ server application.
- There is no SMTP service running
- There is something keeping the e-mail from routing across the network. Look
at the bad e-mail folder (typically c:\inetpub\mailroot\badmail) and turn
on SMTP logging. The log files are typically written to the folder c:\windows\system32\logfiles\smtpsvc1.
This may give some indication of what is happening.
